The KEYSENTIALS Ignition Force Tool For Push To Start Vehicles was designed in-house by our staff, to address a couple of common issues related to Pin Code Reading and Prox Key Programming on Hyundai/Kia Push To Start Vehicles.
How many times have you been frustrated that you couldn't read a pin code from a Hyundai/Kia Push To Start Vehicle? This cable forces the ignition on, so that pin code reading works properly. The problems we ran into reading pin codes on these vehicles were, 1) not getting a pin at all or 2) getting the wrong pin (which in turn can lock the vehicle's immobilizer if key programming is attempted multiple times using this incorrect pin code). We found that forcing the ignition on is highly effective in getting the proper pin codes on these Hyundai/Kia vehicles.
The cable has also been tested on other vehicles such as Mitsubishi Push To Start Models and Volkswagen/Audi Vehicles. During this testing we used our KESENTIALS Ignition Force Tool Cable to force those vehicle's ignitions on, so that data could be read or the vehicle's immobilizer type could be identified automatically by your programmer.
Through ongoing testing, we will continue to identify vehicles this cable will work on. The latest vehicle that has been tested is a 2020 Kia Telluride.
The Cable forces the vehicle's ignition on by supplying power to the proper fuse in the vehicle's fuse panel. The proper fuse can be determined by looking at the legend on the vehicle's fuse panel, checking the fuse panel diagram in the vehicle's owner's manual, or by searching online.
Once you have located the proper fuse, use the included probe to supply 12 volts to this fuse in the vehicle's fuse panel. Once you have probed this fuse the vehicle's instrument cluster should come on. Once the instrument cluster comes on, you know that you have identified the proper fuse. Remove this fuse and use the appropriate fuse adapter for the size and type of fuse, thus powering up the car. Four different fuse adapters are supplied with this cable.
Once the pin code is read, it is recommended that you disconnect the cable and replace the original fuse for key programming.
This cable is in the Beta stage, and all feedback is appreciated. While we cannot guarantee 100% success with this cable, it has been a game-changer for several cars most notably Hyundai/Kia.
