The Mercedes EIS & ESL Testing Tool is designed for on-bench testing of Mercedes-Benz Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS/EZS), Electronic Steering Lock (ESL/ELV), and related components. It includes a built-in ESL Emulator, offering automatic mode switching between old and new versions of steering lock emulators.
This tool allows testing of EIS with the ESL or ELV, using the ESL Emulation Mode when the original ESL/ELV is unavailable. It supports testing for both older (Motorola-based) and newer (NEC-based) units, without the need for the car. Simply connect the unit with the EIS-ELV test cables to verify key functionality, program or repair the steering lock.
The new generation of this tool comes with a built-in ESL/ELV Emulator for W204, W207, and similar models to test the EIS without needing the original ESL/ELV (must be programmed before use).
