Quickly solve ELV Module / Steering Lock Module problems with this BMW Mini Cooper ELV Emulator!
Remove the 4-pin connector from your ELV / Steering Lock, attach the connector to the emulator, and start the vehicle.
• Works with BMW CAS Model Types (CAS2, CAS3 & CAS3+) which are found in BMW E60, E87, E90 Chassis (3 / 5 Series) and Mini Cooper.
• Emulates the ELV (Steering Lock Module).
• Plug and Play - no additional programming required. In some cases, you may need to clear the CAS fault memory (DTCs) with a diagnostic scan tool. After the emulator is connected correctly, and the led flashes five times, there is a problem that needs additional attention before this emulator will solve your problem. If the led light comes on a single time and then goes out, this indicates that the CAS is accessing the ELV Emulator properly and locking and unlocking commands are able to be sent and received.
This emulator works with both 3 pin and 4 pin connectors (There is no need for the fourth pin because it's for mechanical drive voltage to power the ELV motor and isn’t required by our emulator.)
You should remove all DTCs with a diagnostics scan tool after installing the emulator, for the best results.
