Xhorse’s Bonus Point System

Feb 6th 2023

In this Tech Tip Article, we are going to discuss Xhorse and their “Bonus Point System''. During the course of technical support for our customers, we receive a lot of questions and there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about Xhorse’s Bonus Point System. Let’s start from the top. Early on Xhorse introduced their Bonus Point System. The basic principles of this system are pretty simple but the overall structure of the system can be complicated. As a user of Xhorse Devices, you gain Bonus Points each time you create an Xhorse Universal Remote, Key, or Prox Key.

You can only collect these Bonus Points the first time that you create/write a file to an Xhorse Universal Remote, Key, or Prox Key. After you gain these Bonus Points, those Bonus Points are associated with the device that you used to create the Xhorse Universal Remote, Key, or Prox Key. Now, If you have more than one Xhorse Device, and all of those devices are “Bound” together in a single account, your Bonus Points will be shared across all of your bound devices.

At this point, you might be asking yourself why you care about these Bonus Points and the answer is your accumulated Bonus Points can be used and exchanged for different functions. Before we get into that you need to know that different Xhorse Universal Remotes, Keys, and Prox Keys carry different Bonus Point Values. For example, Xhorse Universal Remotes and Universal Keys that have no transponder built-in and are programmed by a wired connection(AKA XK Series) are worth 25 Bonus Points each (See Image 1).

Xhorse Universal Keys that have a built-in transponder and are programmed wirelessly(AKA XN Series) are worth 40 Bonus Points each (See Image 2).

Likewise, the Xhorse upgraded Universal “Super” Keys that have a built-in transponder and are programmed wirelessly(AKA XE Series) are worth 40 Bonus Points each as well (See Image 3).

Xhorse Universal Prox Keys (AKA XS Series) are worth 60 Bonus Points each (See Image 4).

Finally, the Xhorse MB BE Prox Keys have Bonus Points associated with them. Each time you purchase an Xhorse MB BE Prox Key uses your VVDI MB or VVDI Key Tool Plus to read the key and then collect 200 Bonus Points. Now that you know how many Bonus Points each Universal Remote/Key is worth now let's dive into what these Bonus Points can be used for. All accumulated Xhorse Bonus Points can be used for Activations, ID48 96 Bit Cloning Calculations, and as a gift to another Registered Xhorse User. Below you will find a list of Activations that can be exchanged for Bonus Points.

If you want to exchange our Bonus Points for one ID48 96 Bit Cloning Calculation instead of purchasing a Cloning Token from us, when using any version of your Xhorse Key Tool, you can use 100 of your Bonus Points for this. The number of Bonus Points required when cloning an ID48 96 Bit Transponder with your VVDI2 using what Xhorse calls “OBD ID48” is the same, 100 Bonus Points. Above in this article, we mentioned that you receive Bonus Points when using an Xhorse MB BE Prox Key. The Bonus Points from any Xhorse MB BE Prox Key cannot be exchanged for any of the activations listed above or used for any ID48 96 Bit Cloning Applications. The Bonus Points from an Xhorse MB BE Prox Key can however be used for MB Password Calculation using a VVDI MB or VVDI Key Tool Plus. During Password Calcutons on these two devices, 1 Token is required in an Add-A-Key Situation and 2 Tokens are required in an All-Keys-Lost Situation.

For MB Password Calculation each Token is equivalent to 200 Bonus Points. Another thing we want to touch on in this Tech Tip Article is the fact that you can send Bonus Points to another Registered Xhorse User. For example, if you have a friend or employee that is in the field and they need to clone an ID48 96 Bit Transponder but they do not have any Bonus Points or Tokens on their device you can “Gift” any amount of Bonus Points that you choose. This is done by using the Xhorse App or directly from your Key Tool Max or Key Tool Plus.

We want to make one final point about how Xhorse Bonus Points and Xhorse Tokens are deducted from your Device/Account, this happens in a very specific order. If you happen to have any “Free Tokens” on your Device/Account, those will always be deducted first. Secondly, Bonus Points will be used. And lastly, if you do not have enough Bonus Points on your Device/Account for a specific function any Paid Token(s) that you purchased would be deducted last.
