Introducing the ADC2021 Gateway Bypass Cable for Toyota Models
Posted by KI Professionals on Aug 12th 2024
We’re excited to announce the release of the ADC2021 Gateway Bypass cable, a cutting-edge solution from Advanced Diagnostics designed specifically for select Toyota models. This new tool allows for seamless programming of replacement proximity keys on vehicles equipped with a BA system and DST-AES or HiTAG-AES transponders.
What Does the ADC2021 Cable Do?
The ADC2021 bypass cable is a game-changer for automotive locksmith professionals. It connects directly to the immobilizer control unit, known as the Certification Unit, and pairs with the Smart Pro device and Advanced Diagnostics ADS2328 software. With this setup, programming replacement keys becomes a breeze—no more hassle with TIS codes.
Here’s How it Works:
- The cable enables key programming functions like Add Keys, Erase Keys, and Immobilizer Reset without requiring TIS codes.
- You can easily locate the connection points for the immobilizer control unit by checking MYKEYS Pro.
- If the battery is disconnected, it may affect the car’s ignition system and other components like the BCM. Reconnecting the battery after it has been disconnected overnight can sometimes reset these systems.
- The immobilizer system impacts the starting of the engine, and the ADC2021 cable can help resolve these issues.
Handling All Keys Lost Situations
In scenarios where all keys are lost, the ADC2021 cable continues to deliver. By using an emulator cable—either the ADC2015 or ADC2020 depending on the model—you can emulate a working key, bypassing the 16-minute immobilizer reset that would typically erase existing keys. However, even without these emulator cables, AKL situations are still serviceable with the immobilizer reset function.
